Wellness Words Jewelry Challenge

I knew that I wanted to create a pendant with my word Breathe on it, so I jumped right on Tracy Statlers Wellness Words Jewelry Challenge.

I stamped Breathe on the back side of  etched metal that I bought from Lisa at Metal me This. The design is derived from a technique I learned in Kerry Bogert’s Aspire to Wire class.

I like having my word facing inward as a reminder to myself, I added  green and ruby gemstones as a dangle on a double strand necklace, which I did not string becuase I am not sure how I want to design it.

  2. Hi Sandi. I like that you put your word on the back side as a personal reminder. That is a really neat pendant. Thanks for sharing and being a part of the challenge!

    Tracy

  3. Would love a peek at the back, to see the stamping on top of etching. What a nice idea, keeping hte word to yourself.

  4. I agree with Mary Anne that you only know where the word is, neat idea!

  5. Breathe…I was watching a short video on how the world breathes with the ocean tides…it was so beautiful…and also how the sun ‘breathes’ too…REally love the stitching on metal…looks like that Aspire to Wire course is amazing…great work!

  6. Sandi, I really like your word “breathe’ and the lovely pendant you created with it.
Yes, when life gets crazy busy, we must remember to stop and take a minute to breath, to catch our breath, and then move on…:)

  7. Like your word. It’s one of my favorites. I have big “breathe” bumper sticker on my fridge. Great reminder for us all.

  8. What a great idea to keep your word on the inside. It’s also a powerful word for when things get to be a little too much. Best. Lisa

  9. Wonderful pendant, Sandi!

  10. Beautiful Sandi! I had a similar thought, made mine to either way depending on the mood. We have what, a couple days left for more inspiration to finish the design :)

  11. I agree! I like to have messages in my jewelry but usually facing my heart. Isn’t Kerry’s class the best? I am going to miss checking it out. Of course, I have yet to spend even one moment creating something from the instructions. I really need to get to it. I love how you translated this project to your wellness word. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy the day. Erin

  12. Beautiful pendant — love the wire lacing! I like the idea of keeping your word close to your heart too.

  13. Love how you have taken Kerry’s technique and made it your own! The etched metal looks awesome – love this!
